I had some sophomores tell me recently that they were concerned that the gains they had made as writers this year might be lost if they didn't have a writing prompt to respond to each day over summer break. (No, I am not making that up. I've been hitting the "practice your writing" hard this year and apparently some of them were listening. Who knew?)
