Impossibly, a student has asked me why we have "Summer Reading" for students but not "Summer Writing." <Insert thunderbolt here>
"Great question!" I responded while spiritually shaking my head for not thinking of it first. I know that over the years I've wished that I could assign some writing over the summer, but what this young woman meant was on the next order of magnitude. She wants prompts for the whole summer so she doesn't get rusty! Imagine that!?!
So, I am going to spend some time over the next two weeks creating a "Dr. Jeter's Website for Summer Writing." Who knows what will come of it, but I think theoretically it is a great idea. More information to come!
