Narcissus Reminds

Writer: andrew jeterandrew jeter

(from the NaPoWriMo prompt: write a poem in which one or more flowers take on specific meanings.)

Before the daisy or rudbeckia

announce the solstice

or the roses all gather

to fête the first hot, dry day,

Narcissus will peak out

from his green sleeves

and remind me that even

I may bloom again.
