During my Department Zoom Meeting

Hummingbirds fight,

red-green zips

around the feeder

with its yellow plastic

flowers opening

in perpetuity.

Turkeys roam in gangs,

lingering behind the tall

grasses while another rafter

creeps up the road

to pick a fight,

snoods flapping.

Across the lawn, the

shadow of a red-tailed hawk

glides and from the deep

woods, the barred owl

hoot-calls from his

nest-hole.
